Work starts with the people who live with the problem, and with what already exists.

Choose systems that can be supplied, operated, and repaired where they stand.

Build for ownership.
Agree who owns, who maintains, and who pays for upkeep before anything is installed.

Measure honestly.
Record method, place, and period. Publish what changed, including what did not work.

Grow what works.
Repeat only the parts that hold up in use, and share them so others can adapt them.
